The MaraWay Board appointed Andrea as CEO in July 2017 to harness her leadership skills and business acumen to drive the implementation of the organisation’s new strategic direction.
Andrea’s core question is ‘Why?’
She is constantly challenging the status quo to explore better ways of achieving results. She’s a little bit different like that.
Visionary, energetic and determined, Andrea is excited by The MaraWay’s goal to radically change the standard model of funding and deliver community services that make lasting positive changes in our community.
Andrea has honed her skills as a ‘prolver’ - someone who takes on a problem or a struggling business and turns it around for future growth. Over time she has refined her leadership style to one that is driven by purpose, values and collaboration.
She began her career as an early childhood teacher and claims this was excellent training for thriving in the business world. Since then, she has owned her own businesses, run a joint venture in the corporate sector and spent six years as a business adviser. She’s devoted much of her spare time to serving on boards of not-for-profit organisations and is an AICD graduate.
Andrea is also the proud mum of two lovely daughters who have just launched their independent adult lives.
