Lorraine Maund
Lorraine became involved with the MaraWay through her father Victor who has sat on the board for several years.
Lorraine remembers the first MaraWay AGM she attended as a member, listening to all the opportunities the Board were developing, their Ideas and the way they were thinking outside the square. At the time Lorraine was so inspired and thought their passion was amazing and something she wanted to be involved in. It was obvious there was real potential for change in our community.
Lorraine is passionate about her family, culture and community and has sat on the Parent and Community Engagement Program Board until 2011. Lorraine was instrumental in developing a homework program for the community which is still running to this day. In recent years Lorraine has sat on the Mamu Aboriginal Corporation as a Reserve Director. Lorraine completed her Certificate IV in Governance with ORIC in 2017 and then went on to complete the Diploma in 2018. In 2019 Lorraine was invited to be a Director on the MaraWay Board and will embrace the opportunity to create and fulfil the goals of The MaraWay.
